Thanks first to Ed Hall for getting this contest going, and my co-judges Bill Powers and Roman Volchenkov. We had a great time watching the entrants and swapping emails along the way. Now on to the announcement you really came here to see.

Congratulations to all those SQ5 entrants who finished their models as well as those who made some good progress! We saw some excellent work on a wide variety of kits and we had three competing for the prize who finished. Joao finished his Stug III in near record time and was a steady contributor with in progress photos and comments. Andreas and Terence both finished their respective kits toward the end of the contest and also provided a good series of comments and in progress photos. The decision was difficult, but the judges have unanimously agreed to award the prize to Terence Teo for his excellent contest spirit and hard work as evidenced by his steady progress, excellent in progress photos and explanations of his detailed work, and his comments and questions on all the competing threads as well as his own. All who competed benefited from the various threads and we have to say it is great to see some superb models completed in the summertime!
