I recall back in 2009/10 when I was first just getting back into the hobby we had two or three contests overlapping and I entered a whole slew of 'em. In fact, the only models I ever finished were contest entries. I know lately we seem to not have too many entrants in what seems to me to be the relatively fewer number of contests. Has the number of contests actually come down, and if so, I wonder why? I assume the overall weak economy maybe is affecting both sponsors and contestants both. Would more contests attract more entrants? Me personally, I liked the multiple/overlapping contests. Just wondering..... |
